After a great time last October I am really excited to announce I will be back with the guys out at Pure Mountains in Spain to offer 2 types of skills holiday this year.
Pure Mountains is based in the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada mountains in southern Spain, a region I have visited on a few occasions that has some amazing riding and scenery. The facilities at Pure Mountains farmhouse are brilliant and the hospitality is second to none.

Mountain Biking Skills trips- 17th to 22nd April and 3rd to 8th October 2013
If you’re a trail rider who wants to learn and perfect skills which will lead to a dramatic improvement in your technique, confidence, speed and style, these are the trips for you. You don’t need to be an expert rider already!
Each morning, I will be providing trail riding skills coaching in the farmhouse grounds. You’ll be concentrating on basic techniques, drop-offs, tight turns, jumps and increasing speed. Your requests are also welcome. Each afternoon, Pure Mountains’ guides will lead a ride giving you the chance to practise your skills while enjoying the awesome trails of the Sierra Nevada.
Privateer magazine joined the October 2012 trip. In his subsequent article, Andy Waterman concluded:
“But the very best part of the weekend? Seeing how much some people were able to improve in a short period of time. Bikers who had never ridden anything more technical than their local bridleways were tackling steep, rocky switchbacks – it was a sight to behold.”
Price for both trips: £599 / €690 per person, including eco-luxe farmhouse accommodation, Land Rover support, full board (except two dinners), beer and wine and Malaga airport transfers.
